Meet Desi

I’m Nasir "Desi" Miah, the photographer behind The Wedding House, capturing real, timeless wedding stories.

          I focus on capturing real moments and genuine emotions so your wedding feels as natural and timeless as it truly was. What started as a passion in 2015 quickly grew into a full-time career. After earning a degree in Photography & Media from Northern Virginia Community College, I’ve gone on to photograph over 100 weddings across the DMV and beyond.

 

          My style blends cinematic storytelling with real, unposed moments, creating images that don’t just look beautiful, but feel meaningful. Every wedding is treated as a once-in-a-lifetime story, captured in a way that lets you relive it for years to come.

 

          I know being in front of a camera can feel awkward, which is why I guide you in a way that feels comfortable and effortless. Most of the time, you won’t even feel like you’re posing. just enjoying the moment.

 

          Outside of weddings, I’m always on the move. I love road trips and have traveled across California, Arizona, Nevada, New England all the way up to Maine, and Florida, often solo. It’s that same love for exploring and capturing real moments that continues to shape how I see and document weddings.

 

          I’m also a big fan of movies and TV shows, enjoy trying new places to eat, and have been a coffee and tea lover since I was a kid. If you ever have restaurant recommendations around the DMV, I’m always open to them.
